This weeks blogging challenge is the write about 5 amazing blogs... [challenge found here] There are really no blogs that compare to Seymour's. I was looking around for half the hour & all I found was pictures of fish & bad grammar. SOOOOOO... I decided to choose through the blogs that were from Seymour! :]

Beau's blog is amazing. Sure, it's only wasted space according to him... but Beau is an amazing person... He's depressed a lot, but usually 6th hour makes him happier... Usually. :]

KODY! :D
Kody's blog is boring. But you know what? Kody is my friend & I love him. & he usually writes about some pretty cool stuff. So that's why I chose Kody. :] He's like my favorite Pokemon. :]

SAMM! :D
Samm is a responsible blogger. She always writes what she's supposed to write about for the blogging challenges & other in-class assignments. :] Mrs. Brogley should be very proud of Samm. She sometimes even writes about stuff that she doesn't need to... which is good, because that creates individuality. :] Go Samm!

I chose Hannah because she always has something interesting to say... It's usually not an assignment or a blogging challege, but at least she keeps me interested in what she has to say. :] It makes me happy [okay, & sometimes sad] when she writes, because of the depth she uses. But she is an amazing writer.

creative commons licensing

This is a post for the BLOG CHALLENGE of March '10.

What are creative commons? This is a good question. I still don't fully understand it, but what I got from it was basically all of the copyrighting laws that are out there these days.
We are supposed to write about whether or not we deserve creative commons lisensing for our blogs.

My answer? No. Most of this, though it is our original work anyway, I believe is unimportant. If someone wants to copy me, by all means, BE MY GUEST! It's flattering, you know?

But if I'm putting up something like, deathly original, such as one of my many poems... I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO COPY THAT! I'm proud of how I write & what I write about. If people are seriously that unoriginal that they feel it necisary to copy something that isn't theirs, by law or something of that sort, they should be punished. It's not my fault that the stuff I write about is so cool that you gotta copy it.

The blogging challenge has started, yet again. :]

The first challenge is to write about why people should even visit my blog. Well... I have no idea why you'd want to visit my blog.

The only good reason I can think of is because it's awesome. :] I tell the truth on it, and I can mostly say what's on my mind. I wish we weren't censored [as I've said many times before] but other than that, I think this is a good learning experience for people that are just starting to blog or they want to learn how to do it better.

In my eyes, my blog is great. :] So please comment & tell me what you think. [Honesty is greatly appreciated.]

This is Austrailia!! :] I wanna go here some day because I think it'd be an awesome experience. I really don't know much about the country, besides KANGAROOS!! :D but, I'd absolutely love to learn more! :] I would ask them everything; how they feel about living in such an awesome little island thing, and how the weather is year round... just average stuff that everyone would love to know from the point of view of a person that actually lives there, 24/7. :]

Tonight, I'm going to the movies with Travis & his friends... We're most likely seeing Youth in Revolt, which looks like a good movie, but I'd rather see Daybreakers, but OHHH WELL! The GF has no opinion. :P Just kiddingg,

I have to drive Travis to the movies because his car broke down. HAHA! :] I feel so needed. Hmm, so I'm very happy... & tonight should be fun. I have to cash my check after school, I just hope I remember. I have to go directly home after school [& bring Travis with me] & get my check, sign it, run to the bank, & hop on over to the movies! :P

So the semester is coming to an end like... someday soon... I'm still not totally sure when. Really the only goal I have is to raise all of my grades. Right now, for my semester grades, I have 4 C's and two B's. I'll admit that it's my own fault for not trying harder. But this also coincides with my next semester goals...

2nd semester, I'm going to try harder than I possibly can, focus everything on school and just hurry up & get all A's and B's to make everyone happy. I'm going to ignore the stupid high school drama, get a life [hopefully], and get over this stuff, while still keeping my grades high. Expecially for me, this is going to be a challege, but it'll be worth it in the end when I can go to tech school and be what I wanna be...

Yeah, that's pretty much it... BYE!

winter break...

We just got back today after winter break. And now we have a prompt that says we have to write about two things we did over break...

Well, first of all, I had my road test on December 29th. Long story short, I failed. >.< It was all because of a stupid automatic fail on an uncontrolled intersection. But now I get to try again tomorrow, & this time I'm going to rock it. :DSecond interesting thing that happened to me... I got speakers for my car! :D They make it go BOOMBOOM! & it's better than Kody's car. XD I just had to throw that in there, ILOVEYOU,KODY! :]

Spiders make me wanna cry!! :[ Everytime I see one, I freak out... & they're somehow EVERYWHERE in my stupid house, even though my mom bug bombs. That's supposed to last, but nooooo.

Tarantulas are SCARY. If I trapped in a room full of spiders [which better never happen!!] I would probably die of fear. >.<

Erik Weihenmayer is an inspiration. My logic here is that he proved to himself and others that just because he's blind doesn't mean he's disabled. He can still be a strong individual and he can do things that people WITH sight can do, & even some things that they CAN'T do. So stick that in your juicebox & suck it, haters! XD

internet safety

This post is purely about online safety. And hopefully, you're not being stupid like most teenagers... hopefully you're not posting pictures of you... -ahem- exposed self, or drinking, or tokin' up, or whatever you hooligans are up to these days. ;]

But if you are, then it's really too late to change it... Pictures [and everything else, for that matter], when posted on the internet, are there... Not just until you delete them, but until FOREVER. And typically, forever is a long time... unless you're talking about teenage relationships, but we're not are we? God, control your ADD and stay on topic...hehe... :]

But if you are one of the cool people that don't go out and puke every weekend and post it on Myspace or Facebook, then kudos to you. I'm one of those people that use online safety. And what else does this mean? It means don't give out your phone number over the internet. If you need to call someone and you don't know their number, ask someone who does. In real life. Otherwise don't bother because people can share phone numbers with people all over the world and before you know it, people from Japan are calling you to shoot the breeze. See for yourself. Go to 123people.com. Look up someone you know. You'll most likely find pictures of them, or their Facebook or Myspace link. You can find bunches of information about anyone you want to. And you can find people's phone number's even if they've never posted to the net. It's those other losers that share their number... which, I admit I do it a lot... but ohh well!

Anyway, I hope this post was informative enough for you to follow along with. And practice online safety please! Or else you might die! O.O okay, maybe it's not that intense. But okay! BYEBYE!

Halloween is my favorite holiday because it seems like it's the only holiday that brings out happiness in my mom... she loves Halloween. I think it's because she likes scaring people... she decorates our house all out with my dad, inside & out, mostly out though. It scares my niece... but that's not saying much because she's scared by everything... I love her! :D

But I liked dressing up as something different then every day. I mean, you can't just get away with wearing a mask every day... People would make you take it off... Halloween gives people a chance to pretend to be someone different... a chance to really show people what they are... or aren't...

Hmm... but I'd have to say that my fantasy holiday would be just to go out and drive & never come back until I wanted to. I love to drive, & I'm pretty good at it, I think, & I just wanna be able to leave whenever I want... I want freedom...

dream vacation

So Mrs. Brogley gave us a good idea in class. That idea is to go on EXPEDIA for the blogging challenge this week. One part of the blogging challenge is to plan a dream vacation. So, I decided that I wanted to go to Australia. And since I know this probably won't happen anytime soon, I decided to go ALL OUT on this trip. Soooo... I decided that I will depart from a Green Bay airport on January 15th. This is a good day to go because I will have my license by then [December 29th is my road test!!!] so I'll be able to drive alone or with a friend! :D [& I am planning my trip for two 16-year-olds] Anyway, I decided that I'd come back that following Friday, which is the 22nd. It would take two days to get there, because as Kody pointed out, [cuz I'm not smart enough to figure it out on my own] I'd be crossing an international time line or something like that... soooo... yeah!

So now I had to find a hotel... let's see here... I found Medina Executive North Ryde to be a good choice. And the rates were $1735 per person. That's a LOT. The total price of this trip so far is $6938... Oh, how I wish I had that much money just laying around somewhere. ;]

So that's my dream vacation... of course, I'd have to bring extra money cuz I'm not just gonna sit at a hotel for a week, soo... yeah, hope you enjoyed reading!

But for once, BAD doesn't mean bad. It means blog action day. And this years topic to discuss is climate change. But what is climate change?

Climate change is the change in our weather patterns that are occuring because of an incrase in the Earth's average temperature. We're losing the ozone layer. That's not good because the ozone layer protects us and our skin but we're still acting stupidly. It's like our world doesn't even care that we're slowly killing ourselves. Not that I'm really doing anything to stop it either. But still... I think everyone else should care so I don't have to. And no one else cares. So, what am I forced to do? I'll join the blogging challege & blog action day, Mrs. Brogley. So WHOO HOO! So the ozone layer is disappearing because we keep burning fossil fuels. And what are fossil fuels? They are coal, oil, & natural gas. And they are NON-RENEWABLE. That's a big clue right there that you shouldn't be using all of them up. So what the heck is everybody's problem?!?! It's not that hard to follow one simple rule, but I guess it is. And now, because of that, we're gonna kill all the polar bears!!!!!! AHHHH!!!

But why are the polar beats going byebye? Well, they could be extinct within 100 years if the climate change continues to melt the North Pole's ice. And guess what? This ice is supposed to be permenant? So why is it melting? Because WE KEEP BURNING OFF ALL THE WORLDS NON-RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES! Makes me wanna SCREAM. So I'm ranting in this blog for blog action day. So thanks for reading, before I go any further.

But how is this affecting us, and why should we care? Well, lemme ask you this: DO YOU WANNA DIE?!?!?! Not to sound mean, or weird, or like a creeper or anything. But seriously. We're gonna die. Or we're gonna get asthma. All of us. Because of the fossil fuel emissions that are killing the Earth and killing US. Because guess what, guys? WE LIVE ON EARTH. I know, I never would've guessed. I thought we lived like, on Pluto or something & we didn't have to worry about this. But we do. But it would be nice if we could stop this wouldn't it? Well... I don't really think we can stop this, but we can slow it down... -ish... You can put more clothes on if your cold instead of turning your heat on. But if you DO have the heat on like the sane people you are, then DON'T OPEN THE WINDOWS IF YOUR HOT, YOU FREAK! Shed a layer, or don't sleep with so many blankets on... Or like, get a fan to circulate the air. But don't open the window because that's just wasting the heat and wasting your parents money, & we already know how crappy the economy is these days... so stop it. You can use weather stripping around your doors. Don't ask me what that is, but you can ask your parents like the article told me to do & you'll figure it out eventually... And shrink wrap your windows so it keeps the heat in... Don't turn on the air conditioner in the summer unless you can't take the heat anymore & you're sweating bullets. And use public transportation, or just WALK.I know, that's a scary thought when we can drive now [at least most of us can] but come on, dude... Don't let your car idle because that releases extra unneeded crap into the air. And that's NOT good.

So I hope you take this into consideration. & you better have. Or I'll hunt you down... just kidding... I'll let the world take care of that for you...

homecoming

this week has been... eventful? :/ BUT REALLLYYYY FUNNN...-ish...

i was gone on monday [80s workout/work shirt day], because i felt too sick to go to school... but now i regret that because i felt worse yesterday... :/ but ohh well...

tuesday, it was jersey day. &, like i posted the other day, i was wearing zach's. & it was really long. & awesome. :P

yesterday was class colors day. frosh were purple, softies were black, juniors red, & seniors red, black & white.

& now, today is camo/blaze orange day... & i actually dressed up... & i have my dogtag that my sister made for me like, in 2003... not quite sure why though...

& tomorrow is school spirit day. & THE HOMECOMING GAME!! GO THUNDER! ;]

i can't wait to stay in seymour & hang out with friends & tear up the town... all that good stuff. ;] ;] ;]

& then saturday is the homecoming dance, which i'm also excited about, but really, who isn't?!?! :]

today is jersey day for homecoming week... i got zach's jersey... but it's too long, & kody thought it looked bad, so he tied it up... & now i feel naked. O__O
aha, just kidding. but whatever... i pulled my other shirt down so i'm not cold anymore!
& tomorrow, it's class colors. & sophomores are BLACK this year! HECK YES! i get to wear ALL black tomorrow, & i'll probably end up putting eyeliner on... for once... :] lol, i can't wait! now just watch as i forget! :]

& i'm SOO excited for homecoming!

my summer highlight was paying off my library card.

it was a $20 fine, & i was soo happy that the library had a thing where you could give them school supplies & it counted for a dollar off your fine. THEN, i discovered that i didn't know where my library card even was, so i got a new one. & now it's the new ugly blue ones, & i don't like it that much, but not i'm officially addicted to the library. :]

& i might even be getting a job at the library soon! :]
